Fill out the form to get started
CrossFit Durst is proud to link arms with the Brantford community for the 2026 Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 20, 2026. This year, we’re not only fundraising for cancer research—we’re also bringing the energy to Race Day by leading the official pre-run warm-up.
Because if there’s one thing we know at CrossFit Durst, it’s how to get a group moving and create a little hype.
What Is the Terry Fox Run?
The Terry Fox Run is a community fundraising event held across Canada in honour of Canadian cancer research icon Terry Fox.
In 1980, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope, running across Canada after losing his leg to cancer. His goal was to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Although Terry was unable to complete his journey, his vision continued through the Terry Fox Foundation and the annual Terry Fox Run.
Today, communities across Canada continue to come together to carry that vision forward and raise funds for cancer research.
And this year, Brantford is getting moving.

CrossFit Durst Is Leading the Warm-Up!
When the organizers reached out to ask if CrossFit Durst would like to become a little more involved this year by leading the Race Day warm-up, we didn’t need much convincing.
We jumped at the opportunity!
CrossFit Durst has experience leading large-group warm-ups, including the Brantford Classic Run, so we’re excited to bring that same energy to the Terry Fox Run.
On Race Day, Coach Jacqui and Coach Nicole will be your personal hype crew, getting everyone moving, warming up the joints, and creating some good vibes before participants head out onto the course.
And don’t worry—we aren’t turning this into a CrossFit workout.
The Terry Fox Run is for everyone.
Our warm-up will be short, fun, family-friendly, and accessible for people of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
Whether you’re running, walking, biking, rollerblading, using a wheelchair, or simply coming out to support someone you love, we’re going to get you moving and ready to go.
How You Can Support the Terry Fox Run
You don’t have to be a runner to make a difference.
There are several ways you can support the Terry Fox Run and Team CrossFit Durst this year.
1. Join Team CrossFit Durst
Our doors are wide open, and we’re inviting our members, families, friends, neighbours, and Brantford community to join our team.
Come participate in the Terry Fox Run with us and help us raise funds for cancer research.
You don’t need to be a CrossFit athlete. You just need to show up.
2. Make a Donation
Can’t make it to the run?
You can still help.
A donation to Team CrossFit Durst goes toward the team’s fundraising efforts supporting cancer research.
Every donation—big or small—helps us move closer to our fundraising goal.
3. Get Your Family and Friends Involved
The Terry Fox Run is a great opportunity to get the whole family outside and moving together.
Bring the kids. Bring your parents. Bring your best friend. Bring the dog.
Run. Walk. Bike. Roll.
There is no “right” way to participate.
The important part is showing up for the cause.
Why CrossFit Durst Is Getting Involved
Community has always been at the heart of CrossFit Durst.
We’re passionate about fitness, but we believe movement is about much more than what happens inside the gym. It’s about having the ability and confidence to participate in your community, support others, and show up for something bigger than yourself.
The Terry Fox Run represents exactly that.
It’s thousands of people across Canada linking arms to support cancer research and honour Terry’s incredible legacy.
We’re proud to add our energy to that movement here in Brantford.
