It’s time to spotlight an incredible member of our community, Patricia (or Tricia, as we fondly call her). We’re thrilled to share her inspiring journey and achievements as our Member of the Month.

Why Join Durst? Patricia’s Perspective

If you’re considering joining Durst, Patricia has some heartfelt advice: “First of all, invest in yourself. I have never received as much personal attention and effort at any other gym. I don’t feel like I’ve joined a gym but a community. A community of like-minded people who are invested in my progress. I’ve never felt intimidated or out of my league.”

Patricia’s experience encapsulates the essence of what makes our community special. It’s not just about working out; it’s about being part of something that genuinely cares about your progress and well-being.

Patricia’s Journey

At the vibrant age of 54, Patricia took a significant step for herself in early March by joining us. She started with a 3-day on-ramp package and soon decided to invest further with an additional five sessions. Despite facing the challenges of arthritis and a long-term shoulder injury, Patricia showed remarkable dedication.

In just four months, Patricia has made phenomenal progress. She has focused on her nutrition, lost over 30 lbs, and achieved incredible physical milestones. She now squats to depth, jumps, hangs from a rig, and performs burpees with the enthusiasm and capability of someone half her age. Her transformation is not just physical—it’s a testament to her resilience and commitment.

While the physical changes are apparent—weight loss, increased strength, and stamina—the unexpected transformations are what truly amaze us. Patricia reports feeling happier, having better mental health, improved emotional control, clearer thinking, and enhanced problem-solving skills. Her newfound confidence and pride are evident, and she now looks forward to her workouts with enthusiasm, missing the “kick” she gets from them on recovery days.
